At the turn of the 20th century, this Art Nouveau bathhouse was part of a grand plan to turn the fishing village of Mondello into a glamorous resort for Palermo's elite.
Points forts: The wooden changing cabins are painted in the exact same red-and-white stripes they wore in 1912, a detail most visitors breeze right past. Look closely and you'll notice each cabin door still has its original brass number plate from over a century ago.
