Faits rapides: Cinq étages de divinités sculptées escaladent un gopuram de 22 mètres qui domine la silhouette du quartier. Lors du Thaipusam, des milliers de dévots partent de ces mêmes lieux pour une marche éprouvante, beaucoup portant de lourds kavadi fixés à l'aide de crochets et de brochettes.
Points forts: Au cœur du sanctuaire, l'idole principale trône sur un Garuda de pierre, l'aigle qui sert de monture à Vishnou, ses ailes figées en plein battement au-dessus des lampes à beurre. Pendant les fêtes, les prêtres drapent la statue de guirlandes de jasmin frais si épaisses qu'elles pèsent plusieurs kilos, et toute la salle sent le camphre et le frangipanier.
