Bankov Lookout Tower

Meilleur moment pour visiter

Late afternoon, golden hour, delivers the warmest light over the rooftops and the longest hill shadows. Clear autumn days offer the crispest air and the most colorful views.

Conseils budget

Entry to the tower is completely free, so skip the guided tours and enjoy the climb at your own pace. Take a city bus up to the nearby stop or park in the lower lot and walk the last stretch to save on the weekend parking fee.

  • Wear sturdy, grippy shoes, the wooden steps turn slippery after rain or frost.
  • Come on weekday mornings to have the viewing deck almost to yourself, weekends draw big crowds.
  • The wind whips hard at the top, so hang onto your hat and phone, and tuck long hair back.
  • Check the info panels near the base first, they explain which peaks you will see before you climb.
