Faits rapides: Le système de gorges se compose de sept étroits couloirs rocheux et de nombreuses cascades, creusés dans le calcaire par le ruisseau Diera. Les portes rocheuses les plus hautes mesurent 8 à 10 mètres de haut, et les randonneurs doivent emprunter des échelles, des ponts et des prises pour avancer durant l'excursion.
Points forts: Dans les gorges se trouvent cinq cascades différentes, dont la cascade Hornád haute de 8 mètres, dont le lit a été poli par l'eau rugissante au fil des siècles. Selon la légende locale, Jánošík, le célèbre brigand, y aurait caché ses trésors parmi les rochers, et les villageois murmurent encore aujourd'hui à propos de l'or trouvé dans les grottes sous-marines.

- Wear waterproof hiking shoes, because in the gorge you will need to wade across the stream in several places, and the rocks can be slippery.
- The Dolné Diery (Lower Gorge) is the more family-friendly section, while the Horné Diery (Upper Gorge) offers greater challenges and ladders.
- You can take the most beautiful photos in the morning hours, when sunlight filters through the rocks and illuminates the waterfalls.
- Pack at least 1.5 liters of water and some energy bars, because there are no refreshment stands or drinking fountains along the trail.
