Faits rapides: Fondé en 1810 pour soutenir la pharmacie et la faculté de médecine locales, ce jardin botanique abrite encore certaines des plantes médicinales d'origine. Il compte désormais plus de 4 500 espèces végétales de Slovénie et du monde entier, dont 200 menacées.

Points forts: Entrez dans le jardin alpin de rocaille où 800 espèces s'accrochent à des blocs de calcaire, dont la rare campanule de Zois que l'on ne trouve que dans les montagnes slovènes. Le Ginkgo biloba du jardin, âgé de 200 ans et planté dans les années 1820, passe du vert foncé à l'or éclatant chaque automne.
