Faits rapides: These natural tidal pools stretch over 300 meters along Fuerteventura's northwestern coast. Volcanic rock formations create a series of shallow pools that fill and empty with each tide, making them feel like a string of infinity pools carved by nature.

Points forts: At low tide, over a dozen interconnected pools emerge, each with different depths and temperatures as the Atlantic water swirls through narrow volcanic channels. Locals have built small stone walls over the years to deepen certain pools, creating natural Jacuzzi-like pockets where you can float while watching waves crash meters away on the outer reef.

Conseils d'initiés

• The pool closest to the parking lot is smallest but warmest, head to the far end for deeper swimming and fewer people.
• Water shoes are essential, the volcanic rock can be sharp and gets slippery with algae.
• Snorkel in the deeper outer pools during incoming tide for the best chance to see colorful wrasse and damselfish.
• Arrive by 9 AM in summer to secure parking, the lot fills quickly and street parking can be limited.
