Son chemin bordé de palmiers voit passer plus de 2 millions de piétons et cyclistes chaque mois, ce qui en fait l'espace public le plus fréquenté de la ville.
Points forts: Au repère kilométrique 2.3, cherchez une petite plaque de bronze incrustée dans le pavé marquant l'endroit où la ligne de tramway originale des années 1890 tournait vers l'intérieur des terres. Tenez-vous-y au coucher du soleil et vous capturerez l'instant exact où le soleil se couche parfaitement entre les clochers de la cathédrale Sainte-Anne, un phénomène que les habitants appellent « le couloir doré ».
