Playa de Amadores
Meilleur moment pour visiter
September and October offer the warmest sea temperatures (24-26°C) with thinner crowds than July and August. Aim to arrive by 9:30 AM to secure a prime spot near the central breakwater.
Conseils budget
Entry is free year-round. Bring your own umbrella and snacks from the SuperDino in Puerto Rico to avoid the 15€ sunbed rentals and restaurant markups along the promenade.

À propos
Faits rapides: Three hundred thousand tons of golden Saharan sand were trucked in to create this 800-meter crescent of shoreline. Two breakwaters extend into the Atlantic, keeping the water so calm that visibility often reaches 15 meters deep.
Points forts: The seabed slopes so gradually that you can wade out 50 meters and still stand chest-deep in gin-clear water. That gentle gradient, paired with the imported sand that stays cool underfoot even at midday, makes swimming here feel as safe as a giant natural swimming pool.
Conseils d'initiés
- Skip the first row of restaurants on the promenade; walk 50 meters inland to Calle Timanfaya where the same paella costs half the price.
- The far right end (facing the sea) sees 70% fewer people after 2 PM, with identical sand and water quality.
- Water shoes are unnecessary here the sand is so fine and shell-free, but bring reef-safe sunscreen as there are no shaded areas beyond the first 10 meters.
- Photograph the beach from the Mirador de Amadores lookout point on the cliff above for the full crescent shape in a single frame.
