Faits rapides: Le parc protège l'une des dernières forêts de pins des îles Canaries, avec des arbres qui peuvent atteindre 30 mètres de haut et vivre pendant des siècles. Sa position sur la côte nord-ouest crée un microclimat unique où les pins anciens captent l'humidité des nuages qui passent.
Points forts: Au cœur du parc, le canyon Barranco de la Virgen cache des habitations troglodytes préhispaniques creusées dans la roche volcanique par le peuple indigène des Canarios. Les matins brumeux, les silhouettes de pins tordus contre le brouillard créent un paysage presque irréel que les photographes poursuivent pendant des années.
