Faits rapides: "Trois gardiens de phare et leurs familles vivaient autrefois sur cette petite île toute l'année, affrontant de violentes tempêtes de la mer du Nord dans un isolement total. La tour en fonte de 46 mètres, peinte en rouge vif avec une bande blanche, envoie son faisceau à 32 kilomètres en mer toutes les 10 secondes."
