Faits rapides: Fondée vers le XIIe siècle, cette église romane surplombe le port de Portofino depuis un petit promontoire en hauteur. Sa façade d'un blanc austère en pierre et son intérieur en marbre rayé noir et blanc s'inspirent d'églises similaires à travers Gênes et la côte ligure.
Points forts: À l'intérieur du modeste sanctuaire est accroché un crucifix en bois vieux de plusieurs siècles auquel les pêcheurs priaient autrefois avant de prendre la mer. Les habitants disent que la croix a miraculeusement survécu à une tempête dévastatrice du XIXe siècle qui a détruit la majeure partie de la flotte de pêche du port.
