Γρήγορα στοιχεία: Πάνω από 250.000 αντικείμενα βρίσκονται στις συλλογές, από εργαλεία της λίθινης εποχής έως υπέροχα υφάσματα του 19ου αιώνα. Ένα από τα πιο συναρπαστικά εκθέματα του μουσείου είναι ένα χάλκινο καζάνι 2.000 ετών από το ελληνοβακτριανό βασίλειο.
Αξιοσημείωτα: Μια ολόκληρη αίθουσα είναι αφιερωμένη στις τοιχογραφίες του παλατιού του Αφρασιάμπ, όπου μια πολύχρωμη σκηνή μήκους 7 μέτρων απεικονίζει μια πομπή με άλογα, καμήλες και ξένους αξιωματούχους του 7ου αιώνα. Οι τοιχογραφίες ανακαλύφθηκαν το 1965 και θεωρούνται ένα από τα σημαντικότερα αρχαιολογικά ευρήματα στην Κεντρική Ασία.

- The third floor with the ethnographic department is often forgotten but has the most beautiful textiles and embroideries.

- Bring your own headphones for the audio guide, the borrowed ones are of varying quality.
