Brze činjenice: Ovaj muzej smješten je u ruševinama dvorca srednjovjekovne hercegačke obitelji, a zidine i kule iz 14. stoljeća i danas stoje. Zbirka broji više od 3000 predmeta, od ilirske keramike do oružja i tradicionalne nošnje iz osmanskog razdoblja, pokrivajući nekoliko tisućljeća povijesti.
Istaknuto: Ispod muzejskog dvorišta skriveni su ostaci potpune rimske vile, a podni mozaici su nevjerojatno dobro očuvani. Geometrijski uzorci stari 2000 godina i dalje su jasno vidljivi. Stojeći na kulama dvorca, pogled seže na rijeku Trebižat koja vijuga kroz vapnenački kanjon, a u vidokrugu se istovremeno vide zvonici četiriju srednjovjekovnih crkava.

- The mosaic floors of the Roman villa underground are actually clearer on overcast days, as there is less glare from the glass windows.
- Wear comfortable flat shoes. The cobblestone slope leading up to the castle is steep and slippery.
- The old town alleys behind the museum have a few family-run restaurants that are half the price of those on the main street.
