Živahna mješavina travnatih površina osvijetljenih suncem, kestenova i barokne fontane privlači studente, bake i djedove te šahiste koji dijele klupe.
Istaknuto: Spustite se do fontane Medici i čut ćete žubor vode kako teče preko urezanog kamena dok se s jedne strane naslanja nimfa, a s druge brončani tarasque, skulpturalni dvojac pripisan Augustu Ottinu. Oko dvadesetero djece često trkaju male drvene brodice po osmerokutnom jezeru dok lutkarska skupina Guignol na ručni pogon izvodi duhovite, satirične skečeve ispod kestena.
