The temple's name translates to "Temple of the Dark Mother," and devotees believe the goddess's forehead landed here, making it a powerful site for spiritual seekers.

Istaknuto: Unlike most Shakti Peethas where the main shrine faces east, Kali Mata Mandir's sanctum faces west toward the setting sun, creating a dramatic silhouette of the goddess against warm amber light during evening aarti.
