Sardinia is a generally safe destination for tourists, with violent crime rates low and hospitality culture strong on the coasts and in main towns like Cagliari, Olbia and Alghero. The main concerns are taxi overcharging near airports and ports, and occasional pickpocketing in crowded summer spots. Watch most for unofficial drivers and inflated prices at tourist-heavy areas.

Poštena cijena taksija (službena, danju): 25 € - 35 €. Use the official taxi rank outside the arrivals terminal. Confirm the meter is running or agree on the fixed fare before departure. Refuse drivers who approach you inside the terminal.

Pokrivenost i naknade za uslugu: A cover charge (coperto) is common in Sardinian restaurants, usually 1 to 3 euro per person and listed on the menu. Service is generally included. Watch for menus without prices, which is less common in Sardinia but worth confirming.
Always choose to be charged in euros and decline dynamic currency conversion at ATMs and card terminals. Prefer ATMs attached to banks. Independent tourist-area ATMs may carry higher withdrawal fees; check the on-screen fee before confirming.
