Brze činjenice: At the top of the peninsula stands an old British military gate and a 19th century fort that was closed to the public for decades. Today this area spans 42 hectares of modern development with luxury apartments, restaurants, and a walkway right by the sea.
Istaknuto: Underground lies the remnant of a British barracks that was converted into an underground parking garage, so you walk on the roof of historic walls without knowing what is beneath your feet. When the sun goes down, the guard on the ramparts of Fort Tigné still pays tribute by lowering the flag, a tradition that has continued without interruption since 1792.
