Brze činjenice: Katedrala Blažene Djevice Marije stoji u središtu Novog Sada od 1895. godine, a njezin toranj visok 76 metara najviša je građevina u cijelom gradu. Izvorna romanička crkva na ovom mjestu uništena je u bombardiranju 1849. godine.

Istaknuto: Zvonkohra skrivena u tornju svira svaki sat melodiju i za bezvjetrice se čuje sve do suprotne obale Dunava. Unutrašnjost iznenađuje blistavom neogotičkom dekoracijom, gdje se zlatni detalji spajaju sa šarenim vitrajima.
