If you want to save money, avoid taxis from the train station. Just walk 10 mins to most hotels or use the local bus, it's way cheaper.
Try the local cider at the pub near the main square, it’s a hidden gem and much better priced than the touristy spots.
Bring some cash because smaller shops won’t take cards and ATMs can be scarce outside main areas.
Dobšiná is charming but kinda sleepy. The food was tasty enough, but I wished there was more variety for vegans. Weather was spot on in early May.
Loved the chill vibe here. Stayed 3 days and felt like it was just enough to see the caves and town center without rushing.
