Brze činjenice: Muzej Liptova čuva više od 140 000 muzejskih predmeta, uključujući impresivnu zbirku minerala i spomenike narodne arhitekture. Zgrada muzeja nekada je bila pošta i gradsko prenoćište, a danas je jedno od najvažnijih sabirališta povijesti liptovske regije.
Istaknuto: U podrumu muzeja nalazi se originalna tamnička ćelija iz 17. stoljeća, gdje su imena zatvorenika i godišnjice ugravirani u zid i danas vidljivi. Najzanimljivije je da su u zidu ćelije otkrili otvor tajnog tunela koji je nekoć vodio do glavnog gradskog trga i mogao je služiti za bijeg zatvorenika.
