Honestly found it a bit boring after a few hours. Cute streets and a nice square but not much else going on. Good stop if you're passing through though.
Loved the mix of Italian and Slovenian vibes here. The castle view at sunset was stunning. Feels like a small Italian town but cheaper and less touristy.
Food was decent but overpriced near the marina. Had a great pizza at a random place off the main street for half the cost. Stick to side streets for real meals.
Bring cash. Lots of smaller places near the market don't take cards. Also check bus times carefully if coming from Ljubljana, they don't run as often as Google Maps says.
Koper was way quieter than I expected for a summer weekend. The old town is tiny but really charming. Wish I had booked two nights instead of just a day trip.
