About
Brze činjenice: Sunlit galleries focus on contemporary and regional work, blending painting, craft, and large-scale sculpture in accessible layouts. Visitors often comment that the sculpture walk and plaza give the whole visit a relaxed, outdoor-museum feel, ideal for sketching or a slow conversation.
Istaknuto: Walk under a 14-foot-tall skylight that floods the central hall with warm, directional light, so colors in paintings change noticeably between morning and afternoon. Local volunteers run a monthly Sketch Night for up to 30 guests, where pencils, tea, and quiet chatter transform the galleries into a lively communal studio.
Insider tips
- Wear comfortable shoes, galleries and outdoor sculpture paths involve walking and slight inclines.
- Photographers should confirm the museum's photo policy at the front desk, non-flash usually allowed for personal use.
- Head to the sculpture garden for skyline views at golden hour and expect fewer people late weekday afternoons.
- Skip crowded weekend afternoons if you prefer quiet gallery time, or plan a visit around free lectures and family activities.

4.0Stopped by at closing time, small museum so felt rushed. General admission $8 was fair but the temporary show felt underwhelming.
Saturday afternoon was busy but manageable. Paid $12 for the special exhibit, gallery cafe overpriced but main collection is great.
Visited at 11am on a weekday and it was quiet. $10 admission, excellent local art, the rotating exhibits were worth the price.
