Brze činjenice: Proizvodnja ribljeg umaka na Phu Quocu seže više od 200 godina unatrag, a ova tvornica i dalje koristi tradicionalne drvene bačve koje svaka prima do 10 tona. Otok godišnje proizvodi oko 30 milijuna litara ribljeg umaka, a najkvalitetniji umak odležava 12 do 15 mjeseci u ovim golemim bačvama.
Istaknuto: Svaka drvena bačva ručno je izrađena od autohtonog drva boi loi, vrste stabla koja raste jedino na Phu Quocu i daje umaku posebnu aromu dok odležava. - Photography is allowed but avoid using flash near the fermentation barrels as light can affect the aging process.
