Gyors tények: It is the summer residence of the Danish royal family, which you can view from the outside when the family is at home in the city. The grounds cover 32 hectares and the park is open to the public all year round.

If the royal family is currently staying at the castle, the Danish flag flies on the roof and you can see the guards settling into their beds right in the booths in front of the gate.

The most beautiful view of the castle is from the meadow toward the lake, where the whole facade is reflected in the water.
