Tortuga Bay
Legjobb idő a látogatásra
Arrive at 6:30-7:00 AM before the sunlight whitens the sand and before tour groups arrive. The morning also offers the best chance to see green sea turtles and marine iguanas, which are most active.
Költségvetési tippek
There is no additional ticket for this beach, but visitors must carry the National Park entry card purchased at the harbor. Save money by bringing your own drinking water and snacks, as there are no stalls along the beach.

Ról ről
Gyors tények: Fehér homokja korallból alakult ki, amelyet a hullámok zúztak apróra, színe annyira vakító, hogy a látogatóknak napszemüvegre van szükségük. A városközpontból induló 2,5 kilométeres ösvény mentén az emberek gyakran találkoznak tengeri leguánokkal és vörös-narancssárga Sally Lightfoot rákkal.
Főbb látnivalók: A part déli végén nyugodt lagúna terül el, amelyet mangroveerdő véd, ahol feketeúszójú szirti cápabébik úszkálnak a térdig érő vízben, miközben zöldteknősök suhannak el a felszín alatt. Erre a területre csónakok nem hajthatnak be, így a vadon élő állatokkal való úszás olyan, mintha saját óriási magánmedencéd lenne.
Bennfentes tippek
- Wear closed-toe shoes for the lava rock trail, then switch to sandals when you reach the sand.
- Bring a wide-brimmed hat and SPF 50 sunscreen because there is not a single shade tree on the wave side of the beach.
- Take photos at Playa Mansa at low tide to get clear shots of reef sharks without expensive equipment.
- Avoid 10 AM to 2 PM when the sun is at its hottest and the waves are at their most ferocious.
