Fatti rapidi: Vecchio di oltre 600 anni, questo ex giardino del monastero agostiniano è sopravvissuto a imperi, epidemie e due guerre mondiali, rimanendo uno dei più antichi orti botanici d'Europa. La collezione in serra comprende una palma di 150 anni cresciuta così in alto da dover sfondare il tetto, ora svettando per due piani sopra il vetro.

Punti salienti: Dietro un anonimo muro di pietra si nasconde una serra in ferro battuto di 130 anni con un glicine gigante che ogni aprile si avvolge intorno alla struttura come un serpente viola. La maggior parte dei visitatori passa davanti all'ingresso senza notarlo, lasciando i sentieri di ghiaia tortuosi e le panchine all'ombra quasi vuote anche nei fine settimana soleggiati.
