Fatti rapidi: Tre colline formano il nucleo antico di Plovdiv, e Nebet Tepe è la più alta tra queste, con oltre 200 metri. I Traci fortificarono per primi questa cima intorno al 4000 a.C., e le mura dei successivi periodi greco e romano sono ancora in piedi oggi insieme a viste panoramiche sulla città.

Punti salienti: Nelle sere tranquille, la gente del posto sale il ripido sentiero acciottolato portando bottiglie di vino e formaggio per ammirare il tramonto dalle antiche mura della fortezza. Si possono ancora scorgere le originali murature tracie spesse 6 metri incastonate nelle aggiunte romane e medievali successive, una linea temporale visibile di 6000 anni di abitazione continua.
