Fatti rapidi: La collina si eleva 286 metri sul livello del mare e fungeva da importante base di addestramento navale per la dinastia Chola secoli fa. La sua forma unica simile a una testa di topo ha dato il nome all'area, derivato dalle parole malayalam "ezhi" (topo) e "mala" (collina).
Punti salienti: Nascosto all'interno della collina si trova un antico tunnel di 150 piedi chiamato "Marmala Tunnel", che le leggende locali dicono collegasse la collina al Forte di Tipu Sultan a diversi chilometri di distanza.
