Fatti rapidi: Qui vivono quasi 200 specie e circa 1.500 animali, tra cui tigri bianche, macachi dalla coda di leone e cobra reali. Lo zoo è uno dei più antichi dell'India e si trova immerso in un giardino botanico di 14 ettari a due passi dal Napier Museum.
Punti salienti: La casa dei rettili e degli anfibi è tra le più antiche del paese ed è stata ampliata attorno a un paio di storici alberi di banyan, dove i cobra reali e i pitoni ancora si scaldano al sole. I macachi dalla coda di leone, una specie minacciata dei Ghati occidentali, hanno un recinto speciale dove si dondolano tra gli alberi proprio sopra i sentieri.
