For dining away from tourists, hit the backstreets near Sannomiya. Found a tiny local place with amazing soba and almost no English, just how I like it.

Kobe's food scene is killer, especially the beef. Weather was a bit rainy when I visited, so pack a light umbrella. 2-3 days felt just right to explore the city.

Chilled vibe in Kobe but felt a bit pricey for what it offers, especially dining out. The harbor area is cool to stroll around in the evening.

Loved the mix of modern and old architecture, city's clean too. If you're into nature, don't skip the Nunobiki Herb Garden, nice escape from the hustle.

Not gonna lie the crowds around Chinatown were a bit much. But the street food made up for it. I'd say stay at least 3 days to see the key spots.
