L'acqua estremamente basica fa crescere soprattutto alghe blu-verdi, il cibo preferito di questi uccelli, mentre giraffe di Rothschild e rinoceronti bianchi abitano il parco circostante.
Punti salienti: Quando il livello dell'acqua scende, la riva si trasforma in una lenta coltre rosa di centinaia di migliaia di fenicotteri che guadano rumorosamente le acque basse.
