Fatti rapidi: Durante il grande assedio del 1565, si dice che il crocifisso miracoloso nella chiesa abbia sudato, dando speranza ai difensori di Malta. La chiesa servì come chiesa principale dell'Ordine di San Giovanni per 41 anni prima che fosse completata la Concattedrale di San Giovanni.
Punti salienti: Nella cripta sotto la chiesa si trova uno degli organi del Seicento meglio conservati d'Europa, con canne e meccanismi originali ancora funzionanti. Ogni domenica si può ascoltare il suo suono profondo e caldo riempire le pareti in pietra a volta come ha fatto per oltre 350 anni.
