Swakopmund has such a weird but cool mix of desert and ocean vibes. Loved the chilly mornings but the afternoons can get really hot. Great place to relax for 3 days. Food was decent but pricey. Overall a nice little getaway spot.

This place is a bit overrated in my opinion. Crowds at the beach were annoying and the souvenir shops felt overpriced. Two days was enough for me. If you want a quiet beach town, look elsewhere.

The sand dunes just outside town are breathtaking. For the best photos go early morning, way fewer tourists and the light is perfect. Tours can get expensive, book directly with small local operators.

Loved the quirky shops and small art galleries. Food is hit or miss but coffee is surprisingly good everywhere. The desert surroundings make for stunning sunsets. I stayed a week and never got bored.

Local tip: The street food stalls by the sea offer way cheaper eats than restaurants. Try the smoky sausages, they are a must!
