Fatti rapidi: The Lofoten Viking Museum houses the longest Viking house ever found, stretching 83 meters from end to end. Inside, archaeologists uncovered the remains of a massive feasting hall where chieftains once hosted hundreds of guests for three-day drinking parties.

Punti salienti: You can stand inside the reconstructed great hall and feel the 5-meter-high roof beams towering above you, built from 28 tons of Norwegian pine. The museum reconstructed the hall right on top of the original excavation site, so the charcoal and post holes you see in the floor are the actual 1,000-year-old remains.
