Fatti rapidi: Entrando si sente il richiamo di cinque note del trombettiere che si interrompe inaspettatamente a metà melodia, un segnale suggestivo che un tempo avvertiva la città e ancora risuona dalla torre più alta. Guardate verso l'altare maggiore dove un enorme polittico gotico esplode con oltre 200 figure di legno intagliate e dipinte, i loro colori consumati e l'oro catturano la luce come una piccola città scolpita di santi.
Punti salienti: All'interno della chiesa il gigantesco polittico ligneo tardo gotico scolpito da Veit Stoss tra il 1477 e il 1489 si innalza per circa 13 metri, le sue centinaia di minuscoli santi intagliati e volti rugosi catturano bagliori di luce di candela e foglia d'oro. In cima alla torre più alta un trombettiere solitario suona ancora il famoso hejnał ogni ora e si interrompe bruscamente a metà melodia, una pausa drammatica che commemora il trombettiere che si dice sia stato colpito mentre avvertiva la città nel 1241.
