Fatti rapidi: Questa cascata che si getta da rupi rossastre è l'unica grande sorgente d'acqua naturale che alimenta il Lago Kivu e non perde la sua portata nemmeno nella stagione secca. La gente del posto crede che l'acqua abbia proprietà curative; ogni anno ad agosto, intorno alla cascata, si tiene una tradizionale festa dell'acqua.

Punti salienti: Dietro la cascata c'è una piccola entrata di una grotta che potete attraversare camminando dietro al torrente fragoroso; all'interno l'aria è sempre fresca e il suono dell'acqua riverbera. Secondo quanto raccontano i bambini del posto, si crede che nel profondo della grotta una vecchia signora insegni alla cascata una nuova canzone a ogni stagione delle piogge.

• Wear shoes with waterproof soles against slippery rocks; the ground near the waterfall is always wet.
• You can climb onto the large rock in front of the waterfall and step barefoot into the water, but the rocks are very slippery.
• For the best photo spot, try the wooden platform on the left side of the waterfall; the light looks wonderful from here at sunset.
• On minibuses coming from Kibuye, just say "Ndaba" to the driver before getting off, and they will drop you at the village entrance.
