Fatti rapidi: Fondato nel 1810 per sostenere la farmacia locale e la facoltà di medicina, questo giardino botanico ospita ancora alcune delle piante medicinali originali. Oggi conta oltre 4.500 specie vegetali provenienti dalla Slovenia e da tutto il mondo, tra cui 200 in via di estinzione.

Punti salienti: Entra nel giardino roccioso alpino, dove 800 specie si aggrappano a massi di calcare, tra cui la rara campanula di Zois, presente solo nelle montagne slovene. Il Ginkgo biloba del giardino, vecchio di 200 anni e piantato negli anni 1820, cambia dal verde intenso all'oro brillante ogni autunno.
