Fatti rapidi: Questo santuario, che si estende su 32.000 ettari, ospita oltre 500 elefanti che vagano liberamente. Qui si trovano più di 200 specie di uccelli, tra cui il pavone dello Sri Lanka e l'aquila.
Punti salienti: È uno dei pochi luoghi dove puoi osservare gli elefanti da vicinissimo senza timore di tigri o leopardi. Al mattino, quando la nebbia si dirada, branchi di elefanti appaiono sulla riva del fiume mentre fanno il bagno, uno spettacolo assolutamente indimenticabile.

- Wear khaki or green colored clothes and avoid bright colors so as not to distract the animals.
- Book an open-top jeep for the safari; photography is difficult in a closed jeep.
- Animals are rarely seen between 12 pm and 3 pm, so choose morning or evening time.
- Be sure to carry binoculars and a water bottle with you; water is not available inside the park.
