Punti salienti: Al tramonto la guglia centrale, alta circa 70 metri e ricoperta di migliaia di frammenti di porcellana cinese e conchiglie usate come zavorra dalle antiche navi, rifrange la luce in milioni di scintille come una lampada di mosaico. Le scale sono talmente ripide da far battere il cuore, le mani scorrono sui corrimani mentre sotto arriva il profumo dell'incenso e il mormorio dell'acqua, e i locali raccontano che una volta la notte veniva illuminata solo da lampade ad olio durante le cerimonie reali.

4.5Arrived at 7:30am and had very few people; 100 baht entry was fair. Climbing the central prang for the city view was totally worth it, skip the pricey souvenir stalls.
Went around 2pm and it was packed, long wait to climb. 100 baht plus ferry fee, stunning architecture but not worth the crowd and limited photo spots.
