Fatti rapidi: L'imperatore romano Adriano visitò Antalya nel 130 d.C., e questa porta di marmo a tre archi fu costruita per commemorare il suo arrivo. La porta rimase nascosta sotto secoli di mura cittadine fino agli anni '50, quando un'attenta opera di scavo la riportò alla luce in condizioni quasi perfette.
Punti salienti: Osservate attentamente le due torri ai lati della porta: quella meridionale è di originale costruzione romana, mentre quella settentrionale fu ricostruita dai turchi selgiuchidi secoli dopo, creando accidentalmente una capsula del tempo di due imperi. Le intricate decorazioni floreali lungo gli archi mostrano ancora tracce della pittura originale che un tempo le animava.
