Fatti rapidi: Uno stretto viale fiancheggiato da 44 mausolei splendidamente piastrellati forma uno dei corridoi più fotografati dell'Asia centrale. Il complesso prende il nome da Kusam ibn Abbas, un cugino del profeta Maometto, la cui tomba si dice possieda il potere della resurrezione.

Punti salienti: Oltrepassato l'ingresso, il mondo svanisce mentre cammini tra pareti ricoperte da oltre 700 anni di piastrelle non restaurate in turchese, cobalto e terracotta. Ognuna delle 44 tombe racconta una storia attraverso la sua facciata smaltata, con la luce del mattino che colpisce le cupole all'angolazione giusta, facendo sembrare i motivi geometrici tremolanti e in movimento.
