Fatti rapidi: La produzione di salsa di pesce a Phu Quoc risale a oltre 200 anni fa, e questa fabbrica utilizza ancora le tradizionali botti di legno che possono contenere fino a 10 tonnellate ciascuna. L'isola produce circa 30 milioni di litri di salsa di pesce all'anno, con la qualità più alta invecchiata per 12-15 mesi in queste enormi vasche.
Punti salienti: Ogni botte di legno è realizzata a mano con il legno nativo boi loi, una specie arborea che cresce solo a Phu Quoc e che conferisce un aroma specifico alla salsa durante l'invecchiamento.
