Buy tickets for the tram at the machine before boarding, not on the tram. They ticket check often, and fines are steep. This saved me a lot of trouble.
Stayed for a week and found Nice a great balance of relaxation and city buzz. Food expensive but fresh, definitely try the socca.
If you're into art, the Matisse Museum is worth it, but skip if you're short on time. Nice itself is charming but not mind-blowing if you’ve seen other French cities.
Avoid the main square restaurants for dinner, walk two blocks away to find local spots with better prices and tastier meals.
Really loved the beach and old town atmosphere, but it can get very crowded in summer. Prices are a bit high though so budget accordingly.
