Quick facts: Stretching along Lake Balaton for almost a kilometer, with 52 centuries-old plane trees forming a natural canopy. It was named after Rabindranath Tagore, the Indian Nobel laureate poet who planted a tree here in 1926 and created a tradition.
Highlights: Every year, visitors from around the world continue Tagore's tradition by planting their own trees along the promenade, creating a living, growing garden of memory. The scent of blooming linden trees mingles with the lake air on summer evenings, while the plane tree branches rustle softly above the benches.
