In the afternoon, when the sun illuminates the church facade and the sea visible from the terrace is at its bluest. On weekends it can be crowded, so weekdays are more peaceful.

Raske fakta: Dette er en av de få katolske kirkene i Nord-Afrika, bygget som dedikert til Gudsmoren plassert på en trone, med utsikt rett ut mot Middelhavet. Korets runde kuppel er synlig allerede langt fra sjøsiden, og inne i kirken henger en Mariafigur 10 meter over gulvet.
Høydepunkter: På kirkens hovedalter står en svart Mariafigur som symboliserer foreningen av Afrikas folk og har fått kallenavnet "Vår afrikanske frue" blant pilegrimene. Står du på terrassen foran kirken, åpner utsikten seg over hele Algebrasbukten, og lokalbefolkningen sier at man på klare dager til og med kan se Cap Matifou-neset 20 kilometer unna.
