Høydepunkter: En jevn isbretilbaketrekning siden 1930-tallet har utvidet lagunen til rundt 18 kvadratkilometer, noe som tillater massive isfjell på hus-størrelse å kalve ut i åpent vann. Solnedganger kan farge isen oransje mens tordnende kalvingslyder bærer flere kilometer og skaper et utenomjordisk lydbilde.
