Raske fakta: Templet er viet til Krishna som en avatar av Vishnu, og navnet oversettes til «Arjunas vognfører» fra Mahabharata. Helligdommen rommer fem former av Vishnu i en enkelt helligdom, en sjeldenhet blant vaishnavittiske templer i Sør-India.
Høydepunkter: Under den årlige vognfestivalen blir den 400 år gamle trevognen dratt gjennom Triplicanes gater av hundrevis av hengivne, mens de enorme hjulene stønner under tradisjonens vekt. Templets innervegger har 24 søyler utskåret med mytiske løver og yali, som hver forteller sin egen glemte historie fra Puranaene.

- Visit on Saturdays when the temple sees special alankaram (decoration) of the deities with fresh flowers and jewels.
- Remove footwear at the designated counters outside, and bring socks to protect your feet from the hot stone floor in summer.
- The temple museum near the entrance displays ancient artifacts and inscriptions, most visitors walk right past it.
- Combine your visit with a walk through the surrounding Triplicane neighborhood, famous for its traditional filter coffee stalls and historic buildings.
