Raske fakta: To enorme hender som holder en åpen Koran, har ønsket alle velkommen til Shiraz siden 2005. Denne 32 meter høye porten er en replika av den opprinnelige porten fra 900-tallet, som herskeren Adud al-Dawla fikk bygget.
Høydepunkter: Hver natt lyser porten opp med hundrevis av LED-lys som framhever kalligrafien på steinboken. På klare kvelder tror lokalbefolkningen at lyset som reflekteres fra glassmosaikken, skaper en illusjon av glitrende stjerner på de omkringliggende trærne.

- Come after dark, when the gate is illuminated with colorful lights and looks magical.
- Stand exactly in the middle of the road (carefully, watch for cars) for a perfectly symmetrical photo.
- Do not limit yourself to just the gate: walk through the small park right next to it with a view of the entire structure.
- Watch out for fast-moving cars, the road leads directly under the gate and there is no separate sidewalk.
