Skip the beach clubs near the port. Walk 15 mins east to Lido Zanzibar, half the price and locals go there.
The food here is unreal. Random trattoria near the port had pasta with bottarga that changed my life. Prices very fair too.
Nice spot for a day trip but I wouldnt base here. Not much nightlife and the water is cleaner elsewhere on the coast.
Castellamare surprised me. Way more chill than Palermo and the seafood was incredible. Weather was perfect in late May.
Honestly felt a bit underwhelmed. The beach was nice but packed and everything closes so early. Glad I only stayed 2 nights.
