Raske fakta: Marokkos første engelskspråklige offentlige universitet åpnet dørene i 1995 med drøyt 500 studenter. Campusen var modellert etter amerikanske liberal arts colleges, komplett med en golfbane, ridesenter og et kapell-moske-par som symboliserer interreligiøs dialog.
Høydepunkter: Gå inn på den røde mursteinscampusen, og du skulle tro du hadde havnet i New England, ikke i Midtatlasfjellene. Universitetets kapell og moské ligger side om side, en bevisst arkitektonisk uttalelse der studenter fra alle trosretninger studerer under de samme sederbeskyggede furuene.
